ACADEMY OF GEO-INFORMATICS
The Academy of Geo-informatics was conceived with the aim to promote research, provide education and training to students and professionals as well as encourage the development of Remote sensing and GIS applications.
Last year approximately 300 students from various backgrounds have successfully completed their project work in the Institute. The infrastructure of the Academy includes two well-equipped laboratories having a range of hardware and software facilities supported by well-qualified guides.
BISAG Academy of Geo-informatics has now developed into a full-fledged training academy. Apart from participating & organising theme based workshops and awareness programmes to promote educational uses of space technology, BISAG also conducts on the job training for various collaborative government departments, organizations and Institutes.
It also provides guidance to various students from Engineering, Computer
science, and Planning background, through this Academy, for their projects.
During the last year, about 300 projects have been completed by the students.
